A letter of Gratitude
To: The Folks at Harmony America Sober Homes:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my friends at Harmony America Sober Homes for saving my life. In particular I want to thank my house manager Aussie and the owners for providing me with housing at a time when I so desperately needed it and had nobody else to turn to. I moved into a Harmony America House in August of 2009 and left in February of 2010 to live and care for my terminally ill father and very sick mother. By the third month of living with two very ill seniors I had reached my wits end. After 4 years of sobriety I found myself overwhelmed and looking for comfort in the local bars. I also discovered Dad’s pain killers could bring me some relief from the pain and anxiety I was experiencing living with my elderly parents.
I had decided I could not live like this anymore and with no place else to go had devised a plan to end my life. I was too overwhelmed to carry on. In a last desperate attempt to save myself I called my former house manager and good friend Aussie and told him my plan. He told me to pack a bag and get to the house right away. I put off calling it quits and immediately jumped on the first bus back to Harmony House where I was welcomed back with open arms. I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to the folks at Harmony America Sober Homes for saving my life. They have provided me with a safe living environment but more importantly another chance to return to living a life peace and serenity through sobriety. I want to thank each and every one of you for being there in my time of need. With my deepest regards and gratitude,

 Regards,
 Steve Wolf

“I sent my friend to Harmony because he needed a stable place and guys who would not sugar coat things. It worked for me and I am clean 5 years. I know he has a god chance with these guys"

" When I first came I really wasn't ready and after more than one "second chance" they sent me packing; telling me I would be welcomed back when I was ready to be serious about recovery. Well here I am a different person today because these guys did not put up with my nonsense.
